Holistic Management for Farms

  • Sun, February 17, 2013
  • 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
  • Watershed Farm, 768 Allen Frausel Road, Baker Settlement

Based on the work of Alan Savory with practitioners now found across Canada, the U.S. and other parts of the world, Holistic Management is an approach to managing resources that builds biodiversity, improves production and generates financial strength; it improves quality of life while enhancing the environment that sustains us all. The practical approach that is the hallmark of HM allows the unique quality of each farm and each farming entity to find the solutions that work best for them.

This all-day, $125 course assists you in creating a vision of the life you want on your farm, today and into the future. With that vision as the guide you will learn how a comprehensive framework for planning and decision making will put you in control of your finances and allow you to build a life and future that reflects your values and improves your land base. Farm families are encouraged to have all of the major decision makers attend the course together.

Any farm family or individuals farming alone or together who want to improve their quality of life, make better decisions, get control of their finances and do a better job making their farm sustainable. Any beginning farmer who wants to get started off on the right foot knowing they are making decisions that will keep them moving toward their farm dream with a clear understanding of how the finances will work. To learn more, you may view the poster of the event or contact www.pollinationproject.org to register.
