Growing Green Festival 2011Bridgewater is “Growing Green!”  This unique festival is dedicated to “sustainability”.  It is a fun and colourful introduction to the idea that all people can live within the Earth’s means, while meeting their basic needs.

The Festival is growing… again!  From 8:30 am till 12:30 pm King Street in Bridgewater (between Empire and Dominion) will transform into a fun and educational space.  Featuring our largest line-up yet of exhibitors and vendors, educational activities, delicious farm-fresh foods, and lots to do for children and youth.

Music is provided by the Bridgewater & Area Performing Arts Society, featuring Smoke & Mirrors with Wendy DeMarco, Witchitaw, Midlife Crisis, and The Trips.

In the afternoon, take part in educational tours around Lunenburg County to learn how people and businesses are going green.  Join us at our Local Food Banquet featuring creative in-season foods.  Finally, wrap up the day with a free outdoor movie back at King St. Court.  Grow Green with us - it’s going to be fun, active, educational day!  Admission for most activities is free!
