Bridgewater Sustainability Tour

The Union of Nova Scotia Municipalities (UNSM) will host its annual Sustainability Tour in your own backyard in partnership with the Town of Bridgewater and the Municipality of the District of Lunenburg.  The tour will include local examples of:
  • Solar energy and energy conservation
  • Active transportation
  • “Green” building design
  • Clean water technology
  • Waste management technology
  • Community sustainability programs, including the Hodge Podge Community Garden
The tour will take place from 10:00am to 1:30pm on Friday, December 2nd, and starts and ends at Bridgewater Town Hall (60 Pleasant St).  Transportation and lunch will be provided free of charge.  Click here for details.

Though the tour is usually only open to municipal officials, a limited number of seats have been reserved for people connected to the Community Sustainability Network / Bridgewater Sustainability Partnership Program.  If you are interested in participating on the tour, please pre-register with Leon de Vreede at ldevreede@bridgewater.ca / 541-4390 as soon as possible so we can save you a seat.  Note that the tour is only open to people who have pre-registered in this way.
